Archology aims to approach the design of the home as a physical element within a living ecosystem. The business was set up by Terry Bail, an architect with a background in science and permaculture. These skills are used to approach the design process with the client, using landscape as much as possible to work with the house as an integrated living system whether this be for energy conservation, water collection or food production. Many of the projects incorporate elements that have either been recycled or repurposed to give each project a richness that helps to create unique personal environments that will reflect the owners’ own personalities.

Eoghan Lewis Architects
Eoghan Lewis Architects focuses on small-scale and residential architecture, with a site-specific approach that is particularly sensitive to client requirements, context and issues of sustainability. As such, each project is a reflection of our clients’ interests and aspirations whilst celebrating the poetics and prosaics of the domestic and the everyday. We have developed a portfolio of award-winning houses and public buildings that are architecturally ambitious, ecologically responsible, practical and a pleasure to occupy.
We consider the long-term use of a building during its life-cycle in order to make it truly liveable. Our design approach allows for easy adaptability in response to the changes in life of the inhabitants, creating long-term, meaningful occupation. To achieve this also requires maximising the potential of each client’s unique site, brief and budget. We design the “right fit” for the site by responding to place and optimising the connection to natural light and ventilation. In this way we address sustainability in terms of social, environmental and economic factors.
