    ATA

    Andrew Reddaway is an Energy Analyst with experience in advising households and organisations on how lower their bills and how to select the optimal solar-battery system for their needs or optimise their current system performance. Andrew designed and developed the ATA’s Sunulator program and has delivered training courses and presentations to a variety of organisations. Prior to joining the ATA, Andrew worked at the Australian Energy Market Operator where he developed the organisation’s first forecast of rooftop solar generation for the National Electricity Market. Andrew also has hands-on experience designing and installing small off-grid solar solutions.

    Michael Tanner is a designer and horticulturalist with a passion for making sustainable gardens. With DirtSong he specialises in designing, creating and caring for gardens that leave the softest of footprints. Michael is a respected landscape design teacher and gardening presenter, guiding colleges, schools and communities towards greater understanding of the uniqueness of their soils, plants and landscapes.

    Michael understands the abiding wellbeing that edible, organic and naturally sustainable gardens bring to our lives. He sees these gardens as simply beautiful.

    Sarah Hardgrove specialises in urban horticulture and leads Do it on the Roof’s maintenance team. With experience in designing, planting and maintaining green roofs and gardens, she brings a wealth of expertise in the delivery and management of green roofs and walls. Sarah enjoys discussing green infrastructure, biodiversity, waste reduction,and urban agriculture, and sharing her own gardening experiences, both on the ground and on the roof.

    Gaia Construction specialises in bespoke homes and renovations and is committed to providing its clients with informed and practical advice on sustainable materials and options for improving energy efficiency. Managing Director Jeremy Gates has a long work history in the European market and has been a registered building practitioner in Victoria since 2012. He is a member of the Master Builders Association Victoria and is a Green Living Builder. Combining in-depth knowledge of current Australian standards and practices with experience in leading edge European methods and materials now emerging in Australia, Jeremy brings a unique set of skills and perspectives to every project. Jeremy is assisted by his wife Sue, an environmental lawyer with a keen interest in sustainable building.

    GLOW Design Group specialises in energy efficient homes that are functional and beautiful. The GLOW-designed and documented “700 haus” collected good publicity and sustainability award recognition. Lead designer Tim Ellis is a registered designer with the BDAV. Good design is of utmost importance: high thermal efficiency not only helps save the environment, it saves on ongoing costs by using energy wisely.

    We at Gruen Eco Design are passionate about sustainable design, because we believe sustainable design can and must be affordable for everyone and as a matter of course should be integrated naturally throughout the whole design process, rather than designing something and trying to make it sustainable later. We are really proud of our 9.4 star self sufficient home in Smith Gully, which was built on a restricted budget yet achieves all the sustainable and energy efficient features the clients were aiming for.

    Simone Schenkel is the designer and owner at Gruen Eco Design. Thanks to her architectural studies in Germany, an essential part of her education was based on sustainability as well as passive house design.

    Vonne Yang has lived in 5 different countries in the past 10 years, giving her a well-rounded and innate sense of design. Vonne’s experience is in architecture, graphic design, printing and photography. At Habitech, Vonne works on project design, documentation, social media and managing the delivery of Habitech’s modular building fabric and marketing

    “Niree Bingham Landscape Architect (NBLA) is a passionate designer with current projects in private residential, nature based play spaces, public space strategy and technical design for Water Sensitive Urban Design projects. With shrinking property sizes and increasing expectation for outdoor spaces, well considered landscape and garden design can greatly increase the sustainable functioning of developments and should be considered in the begining of project planning. NBLA studios aim to develop all projects with underlying sustainability principals, from schmick residential developments, public space or a simple planning application.  Niree’s experience include one of Australia’s most renowned design practices, Environmental and Planning advisory committees’ to council, Management Committee to a developing Community Environmental Center in the Yarra Ranges and her own practice.  She is also a passionate gardener, mother and food producer.”

    Greg has been a technical services specialist for MEFL since 2009. Prior to working at MEFL he worked extensively in the area of environmental auditing and completed formal ISO 14001 Environmental Auditor Certification training.

    Greg has project managed some of our amazing programs, such as the award winning Darebin Solar $aver program and he is on hand to help with any technical questions you might have.

    Greg is also an amazing cook and a proud father of three.
